The General Cosplay Competition is open to ALL participants regardless of gender, fandom, or costume style.
Contestants will compete through:
Qualifier Walks, Quarter Finals, Semi Finals, and Grand Finale.
Participants will be judged by our carefully curated panel of judges based on:
Costume quality
Creativity
Accuracy
Stage presence
Performance
Crowd engagement

CATEGORY
The Cosplay Baddie Category is a special fan-favorite competition celebrating ladies who bring confidence, beauty, fashion, creativity, and bold character interpretation to the stage.
This category is strictly open to female contestants.
Unlike the main cosplay championship, the winner will be decided LIVE by audience reaction and crowd voting.

KIDS COSPLAY
CATEGORY
he Kids Cosplay Competition is designed for younger fans who want to experience the magic of Comic Con in a fun, safe, and exciting way.
Children will have the opportunity to:
Dress as their favorite characters
Walk the stage
Meet other young fans
Build confidence
Enjoy the Comic Con experience
The Kids Category will take place earlier in the afternoon and will be supervised by event coordinators and parents/guardians.

COMPETITION RULES
ALL COSTUMES MUST BE EVENT-APPROPRIATE
Lagos Comic Con is a public, family-friendly event. Costumes must remain suitable for a general audience. Extremely explicit outfits or offensive content will not be permitted.
NO REAL WEAPONS ALLOWED
Real firearms, sharp weapons, explosives, or dangerous props are strictly prohibited. All prop weapons must be: Lightweight Non-functional Safe for public environments Event security reserves the right to inspect all props.
RESPECT OTHER CONTESTANTS
Harassment, bullying, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior toward other attendees or contestants will not be tolerated. Comic Con is a community space built on creativity and respect.
PARTICIPANTS MUST CHECK IN EARLY
All cosplay contestants must complete registration and check-in before their category begins. Late arrivals may be disqualified.
JUDGES’ DECISIONS ARE FINAL
All judging outcomes for the General Competition will be final and non-negotiable. For the Cosplay Baddie Category, audience reaction and live engagement will heavily influence the final result.
CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED
Participants in the Kids Category must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the event.
PERFORMANCE TIME MAY BE LIMITED
Contestants may be given a limited amount of stage time during certain rounds in order to maintain event flow and fairness.
CONSENT TO PHOTOGRAPHY & MEDIA
By participating, contestants agree that Lagos Comic Con may photograph or record portions of the competition for promotional and media purposes.
