These Terms of Participation, Liability Waiver, Event Policy, Disclaimer and Release Agreement govern attendance, participation, sponsorship, exhibition, volunteering, speaking engagements, ticket purchases, registrations and all activities associated with Lagos Comic Con and affiliated events organized by Spoof Animation, Spoof Media Ltd and Lagos Comic Con.
By purchasing a ticket, registering, exhibiting, sponsoring, speaking, volunteering, attending, participating or entering any Lagos Comic Con venue, website, platform or affiliated event, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms.

Participation in Lagos Comic Con involves inherent risks including but not limited to:
- Crowds and large public gatherings
- Slips, trips, falls and physical accidents
- Equipment failures
- Exhibitor activities
- Cosplay activities and costumes
- Gaming competitions
- Stage performances
- Transportation and travel-related incidents
- Food and beverage consumption
- Personal injury
- Property loss or damage
- Theft
- Illness or communicable diseases
To the fullest extent permitted under Nigerian law, participants release and hold harmless Lagos Comic Con from all claims, liabilities, damages, injuries, losses, expenses or legal actions arising directly or indirectly from:
- Attendance at the event
- Participation in event activities
- Interactions with attendees
- Interactions with exhibitors
- Interactions with sponsors
- Participation in competitions
- Use of event facilities
- Acts or omissions of third parties
Participants agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Lagos Comic Con against claims arising from:
- Participant conduct
- Breach of these Terms
- Violation of applicable laws
- Damage to persons or property
- Intellectual property disputes
- Activities conducted by exhibitors, sponsors, vendors, speakers or volunteers
All ticket sales, registrations, sponsorship payments, exhibitor fees, vendor fees, competition fees and workshop fees are final.
No refunds shall be issued for:
- Failure to attend
- Travel difficulties
- Scheduling conflicts
- Weather conditions
- Speaker cancellations
- Celebrity cancellations
- Program modifications
- Delayed arrival
- Personal circumstances
- Dissatisfaction with programming
Lagos Comic Con reserves the unrestricted right to:
- Change event dates
- Change venues
- Modify schedules
- Cancel sessions
- Add or remove speakers
- Alter programming
- Postpone events
- Cancel events entirely
All advertised speakers, celebrities, creators, guests, panelists, influencers and special guests are subject to availability.
Lagos Comic Con does not guarantee the appearance of any specific individual.
Schedules may change without notice.
By entering any Lagos Comic Con venue or participating in any activity, participants grant Lagos Comic Con a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to:
- Photograph participants
- Record video footage
- Record audio
- Capture livestream content
- Use likeness, image, voice, name and appearance
Lagos Comic Con provides exhibition space only and does not guarantee:
- Customer traffic
- Sales volume
- Revenue generation
- Business opportunities
- Product purchases
- Investment opportunities
Sponsor participation does not guarantee:
- Sales
- Customer acquisition
- Lead generation
- Brand performance
- Business growth
Lagos Comic Con reserves the right to:
- Disqualify participants
- Modify competition rules
- Change judging criteria
- Cancel competitions
- Adjust prizes
Persons under eighteen (18) years of age must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or responsible adult unless otherwise permitted by Lagos Comic Con.
Parents and guardians assume full responsibility for minors under their care.
Participants are solely responsible for safeguarding their property.
Lagos Comic Con shall not be liable for lost, stolen, damaged or misplaced belongings including electronics, costumes, vehicles and merchandise.
Lagos Comic Con shall not be liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control including government restrictions, natural disasters, pandemics, terrorism, civil unrest, venue closures, power failures, transportation disruptions and security threats.
Participants retain ownership of their original works but warrant that materials displayed, sold, distributed or presented do not infringe third-party rights.
Participants indemnify Lagos Comic Con against intellectual property claims arising from participation.
Lagos Comic Con reserves the right to deny entry or remove any person without refund if their conduct:
- Threatens safety
- Violates event rules
- Disrupts activities
- Harasses attendees
- Damages property
- Violates applicable laws
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Any disputes shall be subject exclusively to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Lagos State, Nigeria

If any provision of this Agreement is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between Lagos Comic Con and all participants regarding attendance, participation, sponsorship, exhibition, volunteering, speaking and related activities.
Acknowledgement
By purchasing a ticket, registering, volunteering, speaking, exhibiting, sponsoring, attending, entering the venue or participating in any Lagos Comic Con activity, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions and voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.
You further waive any claims against Lagos Comic Con, Spoof Media Ltd, Spoof Animation, their directors, employees, volunteers, sponsors, venue partners and representatives to the fullest extent permitted by law.
